On January 19, 2000, Flight Dispatchers at United Airlines voted overwhelmingly to change course and selected the Professional Airline Flight Control Association as their collective bargaining agent.

 

In 2010 United Airlines merged with Continental Airlines to form the largest airline in the world at the time. In December of 2014 the dispatchers voted by a large majority to select PAFCA-UAL to serve as their combined union representation.

 

PAFCA-UAL represents over 600 FAA Certificated Aircraft Dispatchers at United Airlines. This specialized group, many of whom are licensed pilots, former air traffic control personnel and military airmen, share equally with the Pilot in Command, the responsibility for the safe conduct of each the flight.

 

PAFCA-UAL Dispatchers release on average 3,000 daily flights throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia and Guam.
